Volunteer Program

Gallery One’s volunteer program offers a variety of opportunities. You don’t have to be an expert to become a valued member of Gallery One’s team. Because we are a nonprofit gallery, we rely on dozens of volunteers a year to help sustain the gallery in a multitude of ways.

Ways to Volunteer

Front Desk and Exhibit Volunteer

Greet visitors, assist customers in selecting merchandise, help with mailings, help with hanging exhibits, and many other tasks it takes to run the gallery.

Event Volunteer

We have numerous events throughout the year and often need people to assist us in preparation or during the actual event. Some of these events are First Friday Art Walk, Jazz in the Valley, and Paint Ellensburg.

Membership Services Volunteer

Staff the membership table to sell memberships during events and openings.

Education Volunteer

Gallery One is the home of Community School of the Arts, which offers classes for youth and adults. We also have a ceramic studio with classes throughout the year. There are often opportunities to assist the instructors in the classrooms.

TAAP Program (Teen Artist Apprenticeship Program)

TAAP was created in order to provide a connection between working artists, gallery assistants, gallery retail, museum assistants, etc. and teens looking for volunteer opportunities in a field that they are interested in while gaining valuable skills. Over a 10 week session, teens can develop professional, organizational and tech skills. They will learn all the prep work needed to support artists and positions within our arts and culture community.

Thank you, we appreciate our volunteers!
