This class is a continuation of Part 1 for beginners and a refresher course for all skill levels. Each class will present a new technique and time to practice. Technique is balanced with a focus on creativity and assisting students to find and accept their own innate style. Each session can be taken independently and new techniques will be covered. Supply list below.
Please register at least 72 hours in advance. Classes may be canceled if enrollment minimums are not met. Cost is per student.

SUPPLY LIST (You will be required to purchase your own supplies and bring them to class).
sketchbook: 6 x 8” sketchbook or your choice any size you like
drawing pencils: HB drawing pencil and a pen for notes
hand pencil sharpener
eraser: Art Gum Eraser or white Magic Eraser
watercolor palette: Robert Wood Palette or Large Folding Palette
– Zen or Princeton #8 All Media round
– Zen or Princeton #12 All Media round
– Zen or Princeton 1” flat All Media One Stroke
– Princeton 1-1/2” Flat Wash
2 sheets 22 x 30- 140# cold press Arches watercolor paper,
please do not purchase a watercolor block or a pad. Full sheets only. Cut your sheet into
quarters or bring to class and I will help you cut your paper. Please do not substitute.
Graham or Daniel Smith Watercolors: Azo yellow, Cobalt Blue, Quinacridone Red,
Quinacridone Rose, Cerulean Blue, Viridian, Quinacridone Burnt Orange, Thalo Blue
(Graham) Hookers Green, Permanent Alizarin Crimson
drawing board 18 x 18 or your own board (bring what you
color wheel: large
tape: 1 roll Magic Scotch Tape
soft rags or paper towels
paint containers 2 lightweight 1 quart plastic containers for water
misting bottle: must be extremely fine mist
bottle with pointed cap for dispensing water a few drops at a time – I use a
mustard dispenser bottle
