You can learn a fun new way to do art in tiny snippets of time. Travel Sketching With Watercolor & Colored Pencil will show you what supplies you need and how to go about making fun sketches. You can stash everything in a small zip bag. You will always have an excuse to linger a while to draw and there is no better memory of a trip than your own sketch.
Ages 14 and up are welcome.
Please register at least 72 hours in advance. Classes may be canceled if enrollment minimums are not met. Cost is per student.
Additional Materials List
- Small mixed media sketch book. Choose your own size. Strathmore Visual Journal Mixed Media is a good one.
- Prismacolor Pencils, wax based, not watercolor pencils. Pick your own colors, white, indigo, red, yellow, blue, orange, green, violet, and a colorless blender. Jerrol’s has Prismacolor pencils in open stock so you can choose.
- Small travel watercolor set, should fit in your palm. You need dry watercolors in a pan, not tubes. Peter Pauper Watercolor Field Kit at Jerrol’s is a good one but there are several others to choose from.
Watercolors will be provided by the instructor.
