Sunna Kraushaar
After a career in social services, I am now semi-retired (whatever that means). I took a glass class a couple of years ago and left the class knowing I had found something that really speaks to me. I started off with a small kiln and made earrings and pendants. About 6 months later I got a 17″ kiln in order to make dishes of all sizes and shapes. I am learning a lot. I have made many mistakes (some of which have been fixable and some not), but it’s all part of the learning process. When I saw this yellow and blue glass, I immediately thought of Ukraine. When the war started in Ukraine, chefs from World Central Kitchen (WCK) went to the country and have been there consistently, feeding the citizens. Any money from the sale of these plates will be donated to the WCK.
