“I am a retired Early Child Educator of 37 years, finding a new passion in creative acrylic abstract art. When creating my art, choosing the right acrylic products, are vital to their color, textures, and visual presentation. Windsor Newtons acrylics products give me the vibrant colors I desire, Piñata and Daler-Rowney acrylic ink are extremely fluid colors, that contain super- fine pigments. I usually work with canvas, wood panels, glass, Yupo and Dura-Lar Film, but continue to research, explore new art mediums and surfaces.”
“My love and passion for art was inspired by my father. I grew up with the smells of paint and turpentine, while watching him paint for many hours each day. Dad was always creating forest landscapes of beautiful fall colored trees, lakes, mountain snow scenes, and long walking trails, ultimately leading to a quiet log cabin.”
“Most of my years growing up, were in Southern California Coastal cities, where the vibrant colors of oceans surf, sunsets, and sunrises are often seen in my paintings. There is so much natural beauty here in Washington, I look forward to creating and sharing my art here in Ellensburg.”
