My images are created through the eyes of the young person who still exists in my soul but not in my body. I play with toys on my computer and struggle to present them in a way that reflects my knowledge of the world as an adult. The images are colorful and happy in a child-like manner, but to me, they represent the darker issues of current times. Things are askew in the pictures as in the world. I have no desire to be blunt about what I present, but want the viewer to walk away in thought.
I was raised in Los Angeles. My formal education culminated with a Master of Fine Arts degree in photography from UCLA in 1971. My work has been exhibited in The Museum of Modern Art. I have work in several collections, including The National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, The Norton Simon Museum, Pasadena, CA and The Los Angeles County Art Museum.
I have been a resident of Kittitas County on and off for about 30 years.
