I’m a student at Central Washington University currently working towards a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree, with an emphasis on Studio Art. My abstract works result from subconscious automatism, completed during sessions in which I don’t concentrate on reproducing any concrete image from my mind. My work is heavily influenced by the Psychoanalyst Dr. Carl G. Jung. He termed this method of creation “Active Imagination.” Using this method, I seek to understand myself and others via the interpretation of the symbolic language of the archetypes of the collective unconscious as they manifest themselves in my art.
