Moving to the dry side of the Cascades over 40 years ago, I fell in love with the climate and landscapes of the shrub steppe. There isn’t a season of the year wherein I don’t find exquisite beauty in the colors, shapes, and textures of this place. I take a lot of shots of rather ordinary sights in this landscape–trees, leaves, and sagebrush, always trying to capture that perfectly imperfect moment I’m seeing in the natural world. That you might share in the joy these moments give me is my sincere wish for you.
