Alyson Holwege is a freelance artist dabbling in multiple mediums pursuing a degree in arts education at Central Washington University. The art she creates has many focuses on her love for the ocean, having been fascinated by and studied marine biology. Her art also focuses on the navigation of trauma, grief, life as a child with a military family, and mental health. Being an Air Force brat, Alyson was born in Boise, Idaho, and lived in Idaho, North Dakota, Texas, and Enumclaw, Washington before moving to Ellensburg for school. She is the survivor of a mass shooting that occurred in Allen, Texas in May of 2023, focusing some of her works on the navigation of PTSD and the recovery of that trauma.
