Juror Statements:
“We Buy GOLD… 24k magic, a mix of trash and class. This body of work shifts unapologetic opulence and redefines its’ attainability and purpose.”  – Tariqa Waters

“Gold is dense and gold is malleable; which means it is always itself, but it is never quite the same. As the work in this show demonstrates, that makes it super-useful stuff. All hail element #79!” – Keith Lewis

Do These Shoes Look Okay?
Austin Harris
Through his work, Austin Harris explores the male’s false sense of identity, and the insecurities that arise from upbringing and surrounding members of society. Austin feels the male is viewed and thought to feel both powerful and invulnerable, while in reality our own sense of falsehood and molded identity masks our insecurities. Without asking for sympathy, he is attempting to unveil the male’s true identity, showing that in chaos we are just as vulnerable and just as weak.
