Exhibition Space for Kids

Throughout the academic school year, the Community Gallery showcases the work of young artists from five Kittitas Valley elementary schools. Monthly, Jacqueline Trujillo (CWU MFA graduate and Art Educator) visits the schools, meet with the students and select work to feature in an exhibit. These artists and their families are invited to our First Friday Art Walk for a public reception and given a voucher to attend a free class in our Art After School Program for youth. Gallery One seeks to provide arts education to all, young and old, through our Art After School Programs for youth and adult classes.

” Thank you for facilitating the purchase of Karly’s art work. She and her mother delivered the piece to our house last Wednesday and we had a nice conversation. Ken is a printmaker so he showed Karly some of his work and described the printmaking process; she was a delightful young lady interested in making art. We so appreciate what you do for our budding artists. Please keep up the good work!”
