Windows into a Manmade World
Joseph Guggino
Through the use of juxtaposed images of reflected light on office buildings, rich layered neutralized hues, ethereal clouds and hard lines, Joseph Guggino’s Sky Corner series study a man’s place in a post-modern world. His motifs spring from the motto that there are no big things in life, only small things lived more fully. This series of paintings reflect the happenstance of seeing common everyday structures in a new light. Compositionally, he crops the image down, filling the space with dramatic lighting, other-worldly sky, and man-made structures, as a statement itself on man’s place in the universe.

Interaction
Arrianne Jane Bright
For Arrianne Jane Bright, the act of making art by hand is an act of love, a treasured act, and a powerful motive that inspires and shapes the general principles of her artwork. The opportunity to integrate beauty, craftsmanship and personal growth into her work through visual communication enriches her life. It takes time and patience to work with glass and her interest in the scientific nature of glass has helped to propel her work. The more understanding she gains, the greater control she has over the reaction and interaction of the glass, their colors and the metal included within.
