After growing up in Olympia and traveling for a bit, Matthew Armbrust ended up in Portland, OR where he studied ceramics at Mt. Hood Community College while majoring in music education. Last year he was a resident potter at Holden Village, a small community on the north end of Lake Chelan, where he produced functional wares and taught. His connection to the medium centers around the idea that it allows him to make more beautiful the common parts of day-to-day living. Matt currently teaches ceramics courses at Gallery One and attends CWU. Look for Matthew's work on display and for sale in our gallery store.
