The inaugural "CWU Alumni Exhibition: Crossroads and Connections, 2007," will include artwork in all media by over fifty art alumni from class years prior to 1980. The exhibition will take place simultaneously at two venues — the CWU Sarah Spurgeon Gallery and Gallery One Visual Arts Center. The exhibition opens on April 6 and will remain on view through April 28. A complete list of participating artists can be found on the Sarah Spurgeon Gallery website at: www.cwu.edu/~art/gallery.html

Heather Horn, Manager of the Sarah Spurgeon Gallery, comments: “The first CWU alumni exhibition is a terrific opportunity for art alumni to reacquaint themselves with old
friends, as well as current and emeritus faculty members. The responses that I have received from the alumni artists so far have been overwhelmingly positive. They still feel a strong connection with CWU and have fond memories of their days spent at the university.”

The opening reception on April 6, which is free and open to the public, will occur at both venues from 5:00-9:00 pm as part of the Ellensburg First Friday Art Walk. A shuttle bus will be available from 6:00-9:00 pm for those who would like to travel between the two venues. In addition, there will be a special reunion reception for alumni, faculty, and friends, from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Sarah Spurgeon Gallery.
