Gallery One is honored to host the Ellensburg Film Festival's exhibition of video art, "Vertical Hold" in the Eveleth Green Gallery.

Conceived as a space to examine the medium of video in contemporary practice, "Vertical Hold" brings together six visual artists: Justin Beckman, Andrew Kaufman, Kalup Linzy, Michael Sherwin, Donna Stack and Tom Thayer. Using the medium of video they explore such diverse concepts as Violence, Landscape, Co-operation, and Time. Through the use of appropriation, performance, and process, the artists navigate social contexts to arrive at distinctly individual forms.

The Ellensburg Film Festival runs Friday, October 6 through Sunday, October 8 in downtown Ellensburg. The festival prides itself on showing high-quality films. It gives visitors a chance to see movies they might not otherwise see in their hometowns. The venues are located throughout Ellensburg, many which are within walking distance. Visitors will be able to see Ellensburg's fun and vibrant downtown while heading from one film to the next.
