Creative Classes for Youth

We have always offered a variety of art experiences and individual growth through drawing, painting, ceramics, art history, found objects, printmaking, and much more through our Art After School program. We plan to continue teaching art techniques, freedom of expression, problem solving, and the elements and principles of art and design. To ensure the safety of your families and ours, we have moved all of our fall classes online with the exception of our Outdoor/Clay class.

Online AAS Students can pick up a kit starting on Friday, September 2nd that will have the class materials and tools. An email will be sent with the Zoom link to attend class. Please make sure your student is in a quiet area or on mute to make sure the instructor’s can be heard by all participants, and have them in a well lit area so the instructor’s can see their work to help guide them. If you are in front of a window and backlit, or in a dimly lit area it makes it challenging to see via the screen on the instructors end.

In person but outdoors! We are partnering with Washington Outdoor School to bring you a fun outdoor break from technology combining art and nature, two of our favorite things at Gallery One. Class will be held at Paul Rogers Wildlife Park.

Our classes are offered fall, winter, and spring quarters and follow the Ellensburg School District schedule. We have the same holidays and breaks. Scholarships are available. Request applications at Gallery One’s front desk.

We ask all instructors, students and parents to follow the same COVID-19 protocol as we do at Gallery One. Currently that means sanitizing hands, wearing masks indoors and social distancing when possible, staying home when sick, and sanitizing surfaces. Please also have a mask for outdoor school when the instructor asks you to wear one when working near each other. This may continue to change, and we ask that you follow what safety measures are up to date as the program weeks progress.
