The kits are geared for ages 7-12 but can be modified for younger and older skill sets too. Families can create together but materials provided are for one project. When you pick up your supplies, you will get a video link for the projects you choose as well as a step by step pamphlet so you can work with a computer or unplugged!

Make a Clay Bird! w/ Crista Ames

In this lesson you will learn to create a bird from a pinch bowl and a few simple tools. After you explore and research using guides provided, which bird are you going to make? What shape are they? What defining features do they have? Is your bird a hybrid of two different birds? I can’t wait to see what your bird looks like! Make sure to draw your bird first so you are familiar with its shape before you start sculpting.

Paper Mache’ Mushroom w/ Amy Davison

Join Amy in a step by step how to create a paper mache mushroom or use these supplies to create a mini pinata or a mask! Take a walk outside and see if you see any mushrooms growing in your yard or the park, maybe you even have a mushroom in your fridge waiting for dinner. Do you know the parts of a mushroom? Do you know any of their names? What makes a mushroom suddenly pop up seemingly over night? We will talk about the science behind mushrooms as we do our art project making a whimsical stylized work of art.

Comic and Illustration w/ Jacque Trujillo

What’s your Perspective? In this kit Jacque will lead you in a dazzling sky scraper drawing! This kit also has a booklet of comic style warm ups to get your creative juices flowing as well as a step by step of Spider man.


Suncatchers w/ Miranda Maple

In this box, you will learn how to create a suncatcher! Using a variety of beads, string, and some creative thinking, your sun catcher will look amazing! While not beading, artist Kehinde Wiley, a portrait based painter, has bright, colorful work that could help to inspire different color combinations.

Landscape Embroidery & Crochet Textile Art w/ Becky Parmenter

Create contemporary textile art based on the work done by Ana Teresa Barbosa. Study composition, explore various materials, and learn new skills. Take a 10” embroidery hoop, wool, yarn, and thread beyond it limits!
