Community School of the Arts
Class Description: Each class is tailored to a particular age group. We offer a variety of art experiences and individual growth through drawing, painting, ceramics, art history, found objects, print-making, and much more. We teach art techniques, freedom of expression, problem solving, and the elements and principals of art and design. Each child’s abilities are carefully taken in to consideration. We are proud to present our students work annually during our Community School of the Arts Exhibit each April.
Our classes are offered fall, winter, and spring quarters, following the Ellensburg public school schedule. We have the same holidays and breaks. When schools have early release days, we offer art class immediately after the day ends until 3pm.
Scholarships are available: applications are available at Gallery One's front desk.
No drop in students.

Donate Fun Stuff!
Art material donations are needed for kids art classes. We are asking for help with art supplies and miscellaneous items.
We use a huge variety of mediums and could really use the following:
- Magazines with good illustrations, art, and photographs for collage art
- Toys or games with fun pieces in them for found object art
- Beads, small pretty rocks, small tiles, small odd shaped wood pieces, buttons
-
Sea shells, small driftwood, pinecones and other interesting natural materials
- Wallpaper samples
- Scrapbooking supplies: paper, stamps, etc
- Junk drawer odds and ends
If you have any of these items to donate, please bring them to the front desk at Gallery One. Thank you for your help, we really appreciate the support!
