Gallery One Announces…

Kittitas County Biennial Teen Art Show in April

Gallery One Visual Arts Center announces our 2nd Teen Art Show for Kittitas County this coming April 2012. This formal visual arts performance opportunity showcases and recognizes artistic expression in a “certificate of showing” and “judge awards”. At the First Friday Artwalk, the entire show will be offered up for a Public Popular Choice award.

Guidelines:
All Middle School and High School aged artists are urged to select their best original artwork made during the 2011/2012 school year. We are accepting two-dimensional work in oils, acrylic, pastel, watercolors, digital, multi-media, and photography. Also three-dimensional works in stone, metal, ceramic, wood, etc. You may only enter either one piece.

All art work must be original. Nothing replicated or manipulated from published photos without full reference citation can be entered.

All 2-D artwork must be matted, not framed, and ready to hang. All 3-D entries must be mounted or free standing. If over twenty pounds, (call Becky Parmenter for permission at 509 607 9739) to arrange display within Gallery One’s spatial limitations.

Important Dates:
Bring work to Gallery One:  March 30, 31, or April 1, 2  during regular gallery hours.

Teen Art Show Opening Reception: April 6th First Friday Artwalk 5-7pm. public voting will occur and juried awards will be announced and/or posted.

Pick up your work:  April 29, 30, or May 1  during regular gallery hours.
